On August 5, a final decision will be made on the Ergenekon trial, which has been going on for
the past 5 years, and aims to stifle free speech and democratic opposition in Turkey. Join us this Sunday at 4:30pm in front of the White House to protest the continued unjust imprisonment of hundreds of journalists, military officers, politicians, businessmen academics and scientists. Let our voices be heard! Please wear red and/or white. The European Union has said the Ergenekon case, and other related crimi...nal cases, raise “real concerns about their wide scope and the shortcomings in judicial proceedings.” http://ec.europa.eu/ Turkey has more journalists in jail than any other country in the world - 49 in contrast with Iran (45), China (32) and Eritrea (28). This is in addition to dozens of journalists who have been forced to resign for covering the Gezi Park protests. As must of you know, the Ergenekon trials is another boogie man created by the Gulenist controlled Judiciary System, Police and AKP party to elliminate all of those from power who are not part of the elite Cemaat. Secular Kemalists are being jailed and removed from positions of power and replaced with the Islamic leaning controls of the AKP and their godfather of crime exiled Imam Mohammed Fethullah Gulen and the Imam Ordusu.
Labeling opposition as "Terrorists" or "Communists" will not work anymore. Jailing those that
oppose this radical unpopular group will stop no longer will the Republic of Turkey belong in the hands of power grabbing Gulencis "working their way into the arteries of the system until they have reached all power centers"
They are not "Terrorists" or "Communists" labeled as Ergenekon they are average Turkish Citizens
who are jounalists, politicians, military officers who were removed from their positions because of their secular or opposing views to the AKP / Gulencis (Cemaat)
There is no such thing as the boogie man, Ergenekon only exists by the Gulen controlled media to eliminate all opposition in an underhanded chicken shit way. False evidence, forged documents and other insufficient evidence.
